Submitted by srlinuxx on Sun, 06/28/2009 - 10:52.meandubuntu.wordpress: Having recently upgraded to Jaunty, I thought it might be time to give KDE another try. I have been a little tough on KDE in the past, but I have always maintained it has potential. Time to see if 4.2 can finally deliver!

innovate much?
Submitted by srlinuxx on Tue, 06/23/2009 - 11:59.aseigo.blogspot: It's funny: some years ago the F/OSS desktop was said to not be innovating much, if at all. Woe from above was upon us due to our tail-light chasing! Today, maybe we are innovating too much, posits Bruce Byfield. Are we? It's a good question.

KDE and Version Numbers
Submitted by srlinuxx on Wed, 06/17/2009 - 11:22.allenjb.me.uk: I’m fed up! I’m sorry, but I just don’t buy it. MAYBE it worked with the .0 release, but anything above x.0 IS NOT a preview / beta / release candidate. KDE 4.2.4 is the real, proper, full up released version of KDE. Amarok 2.1 is the real, proper, full up released version of Amarok.
KDE – What Happened?
Submitted by srlinuxx on Sun, 06/14/2009 - 21:00.beerwithsubtitles.net: Wow. What happened? It’s slow, it’s ugly, it’s unstable. I realise it’s not exactly a state of the art machine I’m using but, nevertheless, my true and trusty T41 has run everything else I’ve ever thrown at it.

Submitted by srlinuxx on Sat, 06/13/2009 - 14:33.associatedcontent.com: I remember when KDE 4 was first being developed and the buzz was crazyness. My question is what happened, it seems to me that it came out and no one really cared.
