OLPC has the ambition to use wireless WiFi or WiMax systems with small gasoline electrical generator.

To get to remote African villages they could use line of sight Iridium satellites from Boeing.

But Eagle Broadband(Amex:EAG) has a satmax system which extends Iridium to WiFi(out of line of sight). And OLPC now only need a small gasoline engine driven electrical generator. In India, they use cow dung for methane dissolved in water solution as gasoline.
