Linux is the Future
Mark Shuttleworth gave an interview to Ukrainian online journal ‘Computer Review’ (Kompyuternoye Obozreniye), where he shared his thoughts about his life, Ubuntu, Space, Open source, Linux, Microsfot-Novell deal and other interesting things.
This is a selective translation of the interview.
Mark, how come you got interested in Linux?
When I was a student, I wanted to know more about the global network (inetrnet), thus I wanted to connect my computer to University’s local network, but that was difficult because I had problems with my Windows OS. One day I was recommended Linux, which was hard at the beginning, but after all, it became my operating system for studying and then helped me to realize my ideas, primarily in software development.
