Air Force needs quick price quote on multiprocessor Linux computational cluster
Computer companies have just six days to offer price quotes to the U.S. Air Force for a multiprocessor computational cluster for running serial and parallel jobs.
Asking for quotes are officials of the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory's Air Vehicles Directorate Structures Division (AFRL/VASD) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Quotes are due no later than Jan. 10. The request for quote number is FA8604-07-Q-7478.
Air Force researchers need a computer system that runs the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 operating system with one cluster control node, one network server node, 30 compute nodes, and gigabit network connecting all nodes in the cluster. The solicitation is a small-business set-aside.
