PCLinuxOS Preview 9 Released
Preview 9 of PCLinuxOS has been released: "PCLinuxOS Preview 9 is now available via FTP and BitTorrent. This release includes updating of the mklivecd scripts by Tom Kelly and Ivan Kerekes to support Unionfs. Additional SATA hard drive support has been added. The live CD now defaults to 1024x768 at 16 bpp. The desktop backgrounds and Control Center icon set were designed by jrangles to provide a clean and beautiful desktop.PCLinuxOS Preview 9 comes with kernel 2.6.11.oci11 along with udev support. KDE 3.4.1 with hal/dbus backend for automounting removable media, OpenOffice 1.1.4, Firefox 1.0.4 with plugin support, Thunderbird 1.0.2, P2P file sharing for Gnutella...." Read the release notes for more details. This should be the last preview release of PCLinuxOS before a stable 1.0 later this year.
