The DistroNator
On Oct 24,2003 a build server became self-aware and named himself Texstar and began building rpm pacakages and creating iso's called PCLinuxOS. Other servers became self aware ocilent1, sal server, thac, ivan, davecs, the darb and others and the whole thing became known as the devnet. One goal, one mission... to create the best linux desktop in the world. In the Year of 2007, the Inquirer devised the ultimate plan. They would reshape the Future by changing the Past. The plan required something that felt no pity. No pain. No fear. Something unstoppable. They created 'Dr. John'.
The first models had rubber skin. They were easy to spot. But this is something new. It poses as a legitimate journalist.
A human-looking, apparently unstoppable cyborg from the future sent to kill the PCLinuxOS distribution. If Dr John succeeds, pclinuxos is doomed. The distro's only hope is the community who stands up for truth, justice and honor.
(excerpts from a forum thread. author: mostly Texstar).
Background: The main point being parodied is that Dr. John @ The Inquirer first stated that there was no one in charge of PCLOS, then later said that Texstar must not be a real person.
