Confession: I'm installing MS Windows

I'm a high school computer science school teacher. At school, my lab is partly (and will be entirely) dual-boot between PCLinuxOS and MS-Windows XP next Fall. Students will switch back and forth between the two OS's.

I never intended to ever install MS-Windows on one of my home machines ever again, but I'm writing a computer programming textbook tentatively titled and subtitled Programming Crystals -- Learning Computer Programming and Computer Science with Ruby, A Classroom Textbook. What will differentiate this from other programming ruby books is that it will contain end of chapter lab exercises, chapter exams, video screen clips, screen clip stills, and other ancillary teaching/instructional materials.

For the videos and screen clips, I need to do both MS-Windows stuff and Linux stuff. Since I want to work at home, this necessitates installing windows on my secondary test machine.

So, for a while, I'm going to have a dual-os-boot machine at home. And one of those OS's will be MS-Windows XP. Sigh.
