Free Guitar Hero clone really rocks
Music fans and video gamers alike can rock out – for free – with a clever Guitar Hero clone downloadable for your Windows, Mac or Linux-based PC.
Called Frets on Fire (http://fretsonfire. sourceforge.net/), the game works in a similar way to the bestselling console series from RedOctane – where you must play a specific note at the correct time in order to rack up points – but now you're holding your computer keyboard like a guitar, pressing the F1 through F5 keys and "strumming" with the Enter button.
OK, so the songs are from indie artists instead of classic rock hits, but Frets on Fire is a fun rhythm game with multiple levels of difficulty, downloadable tracks and the option to create your own songs. And hey, free is free.
