Linspire Needs to Drop OS, Focus Exclusively On CNR
Linspire fans thought I was nuts when I first suggested giving up their OEM business. Even Kevin Carmony had his say regarding the issue. Well, in light of the various differences of opinion, I wish Kevin well in his new endeavors because as of recently, our differences of opinion no longer apply.
Second Chance for a Reality Check. With a new CEO at the helm, I suggest again to stop barking up the wrong tree with this Linspire/Freespire dream. What you have here with CNR may not have the 'payout' your existing OEM business currently provides, but the fact is that you will find a much larger adoption rate supporting Ubuntu, PCLinuxOS and other more mainstream, beginner-friendly Linux distributions than trying to create a market with the "Spires." In the long-term, the cash flow will be substantially higher with a nice chunk of repeat business.

Michael Robertson announced ajaxwindows.com, today ?
Linspire/Freespire as a stripped down livecd, is only as good as its extension on the web? A good browser and a good portal will do everything for you, older PC(digital divide) or the latest multicore?
This is of course true, both Yahoo and Microsoft MSN proved by the revenue they took in?
Linspire had yet to take-in the kind of money they deserve, now by the introduction of http://ajaxwindows.com they will achieve what other Linux distro can not achieve?
Some say its all in the advertizing revenue of Portals. Others had always understood the convenience of Yahoo or MSN.
However, ajaxwindows depended on Gmail, which may turned out to be webhosting by emailed FAX. So, Robertson had to spend a little more money to expand ajaxwindows to take in some webhosting money?
Will CNR be on ajaxwindows? Then you don't have to download, even?
However, since I posted this news, ajaxwindows.com was overloaded by us, and offered a denial of service notice. Once you get an account by email acknowledgement, you can sign on to the portal. Not working for winME/IE6.0 yet; but good for Firefox2.x.
The new site is slow(need a lot more servers), but looks like a desktop, can store files on gmail. And is interesting to explore? If a hit, may get Robertson a few billion dollars sold to Google/youtube?
