ERP ? What is scheduler ? Workflow ? QA ?
In high finance, and large enterprise systems, ERP is next only after security issues. ERP is efficient resources and process(workflow) management. Simply, it is just a spread sheet of a resource scheduler, so that all the resource management is done just in time. This is, of course, evaluated by a just in time profit and loss statement.
In enterprise systems, you might start with Oracle and setup the accounts. You could start with Symphony, but you have to know what to do to use the spread sheet programming and database programming, etc. to handle inter-related accounts. You need accounting personnel to set up Symphony to be able to use it as ERP software.
Then, of course, you need to do security assignment of you personnel to have authority to use your ERP software.
To really take advantage of ERP for overall corporate management, you have to have relational database for quality control traceability and from purchase orders to shipment bill of lading.
Eventually, people will take an office suite and put in all the wizards to setup accounts to have one software to run a complex business from sales to payment collection of invoices, all on instantaneous profit and loss statement to fine tune business operations for better productivity.
ERP is how to do your business and make money. The minute you look over Peachtree accounting software(setting up accounts for your business), you know how to program ERP.

What is wizards ? Money for Linux open source distros ?
All applications are just engines? So, people can make money doing wizards on Oracle database. Or companies spring up just to do applications using symphony? Or watch Cognos doing wizards to take money from SAP.
Unfortunately, Linux distros are operating system users, and their jobs are to comply with new hardware. There is no money there just to work on all the computers. People still had to adapt application for their needs. The business needs are not catered by Linux distros.
Most applications that can sell for money are done by wizards(account setup) in simple applications such as database, spread sheet and wordprocessor. In the case of Sap, they have search engine that supports high level design language that can use a program to write a program to run a task that the chief executive needs to run the business more efficiently.
Until Linux community understand where the money is, they will continue to support their own hobby. RedHat's business is mostly working out the business customers needs for bug fixing. Novell is starting to satisfy the customers' needs of how to setup their applications with first the security management, then ERP with hooks into accounting software, eventually SAP wizards?
It does not stop small distros to do wizards for small businesses on OOo, or even STAR office which is much simpler for wizards?
WTF?!
Am I the only one who thinks this guy posts nothing but random gibberish in a vain attempt to sound intelligent? Or can someone parse any of his posts at all? Really, I get that impression from all of his posts, and I would appreciate it if someone could translate them for me.
You only had to use technical language ? Not hard ?
If your language is limited to WTF type of coarse language, then you would not learn the keywords used to steer linux distros to some good money?
Erm...
Would you mind repeating that, except this time, read my actual post and learn English before you post? I'm not kidding. If you're a foreign speaker, that's something else altogether, but I honestly can't understand any of your posts.
re: Erm
So since YOU can't understand it, you feel the urge to deride it, or question the posters right to his (or her) opinion?
Another little tidbit to add to the "Open Source = Close Minds" library.
Just curious DJ_Gentoo, how many languages (besides English) do you speak/write (poorly or otherwise)?
Dependency unionfs aufs Google Yahoo MSN ?
Linux is made of modules to be listed(file system configure) and compiled(make) and installed. Dependency is a big issue in bugs creation and synaptic is not sufficient to get it right in any repository. rpath can not keep up with progress. So, some people think that unionfs or aufs can do it, but after many years they lack technology.
We have to learn the technology of search engines, Google, Yahoo, MSN and even Apple. They are all different but they are all the same, which is to submit links for search. Any repository especially Debian has to have ftp submitted to get all the dependency files for the latest update.
Unionfs and aufs or synaptic lack web links to search for missing info. This is the opposite to RSS feeds technology.
Originally, unionfs was intended only to auto-update known database(sql or relational) whenever new data is inputted. Then Knopper thought to update files would be nice. But he ran into dependency issues of Linux files. Until unionfs or aufs has submitted ftp or links to other websites; dependency issues can not be resolved easily; what with kernel versions changing daily(major dependency issue in Linux philosophy)?
Is fsck the scandisk of all operating system ? fs sensitive ?
The way hdd was initiated, with fragmentation limits(6) in FAT table, Fsck periodically(a few days to a week) is an absolute necessity to keep your computer running. In Linux distros the different ext2, ext3, reiser4 and squashfs needs different fsck commands.
@2dsck for ext2.
Fsck ext3 command for ext3
Fsck reiser4 -build-fs or -fix
cramfsck for squashfs?
Most of the distros had not paid attention to leave @2fsck(vintage RedHat 7.2) in their distros while they use ext3 or reiser4 or squasgfs for tgz files in their livecd. Installation of any distro must warn users of the file system their distro uses? And provide the appropriate fsck commands or file system automation.
