Soap is only .net packet format ? Not strategy ?
Google has 175,000 servers of simple PCs. Microsoft started with 6,000 Pentium60s for their developers. And 250 servers of simple PCs for MSN.com. So, the .net strategy is a virtual server concept. Where the virtual servers are in ISP servers.
When MSN send out dotnet packets, the header contains info that can be used to deliver the webpage from ISP servers stored with packets ready for user delivery demand system.
Any one can use the virtual servers in dotnet strategy; if ISP is contacted to rent out some free space.
Many IT departments are wishing they can save money to use virtual servers. They can rent the free space in ISP vendors using the dotnet header info for secured delivery.
Soap is a format converter of dotnet packet. You just have to know what to have in the format header and tail for virtual server in ISP servers.

Packets can be used as junk mail in virtual servers when cached; one copy can be send to millions of recipients in the same physical server or network of servers.
