Video technology for dummies ? Motion Jpeg+ ?
Recently Kodak announced new video sensor sensitivity improvement. It is a new software to change the grey pixels to white pixels. Similar to Microsoft Aero and Novel silverlight video software. Result looks like the evenly lighted pictures on NBC and Fox networks.
Kodak had been using Jpeg and motion Jpeg for their digital cameras. Their digital zoom can be 10x with pixel correction on connecting shapes while zooming. So, thumbnails can be zoomed to 100 inch LCD panels with successive 10x zoom to 1000x and beyond.
Thumbnail picture of limited number of pixels can be transmitted much faster on cellphones. And thumbnail pictures can be zoomed to fill any large screen TVs. Picture within a picture transmission will come back as thumbnail VOD. Sound of many thumbnail pictures can be using stereophonic projection from source(thumbnail) location to be heard at the same time for Ipod or iphone.
Linux open sourced community has a quick path to the latest video technology? Recently many semiconductor companies are preparing their chipset to use motion Jpeg to replace Mpeg4/h.264; perhaps using thumbnail picture for size fulfilling task by zooming.

Picture within a picture ? layout and rendering engines ?
Layout is the format feature of a word processor which can layout a spreadsheet. Filling in the spreadsheet is a rendering engine.
So, we have foobar and gecko engines. And we can use tk, gtk, qt and eclipse for gui interfaces.
When you program a picture within a picture, such as movies, you have to use layout engine and rendering engine in video card or chipset. Most of the advertizing ads on webpages are really a picture within a picture of a webpage. The reason it is slow in rendering, is that you have to get the data from many websites. Which slow every ones' computer.
In order to avoid layout and rendering engines running and ruining your power and speed of your computer, we have to use faxed(pixeled) webpages to avoid using pieces of webpages from many websites, some websites may even have denial of service due to overloads.

The amazing thing is all the codec conversion software available to make video formats a breeze.
But the future is in thumbnail conversion for reduced bandwidth in internet transmission of video content?
