$100 laptop is a DVD player in disguise ? w/o DVD ?

The prise differential is Ethernet(wireless), USB(modem) and keyboard with mouse(on touch screen monitor)? Are those parts worth the extra $200?

So its more getting used to the operating system and monitor display problems associated with web pages as we have known today.

Some day all the software problems will be worked out, and the $100 price tag may be more interesting with less mechanical parts other than touch screen monitor of high resolution. Smaller stacked motherboards boards with have shorter wiring to achieve higher frequency chipset buses.

We can dream can we?

On the other hand $100 laptop is just a terminal or a small remote controller, to access websites with on demand software services. We still need our own personal library of info, big terabyte hdd, mainframe computer to do calculations and data processing, and many accessories such as other memory storage devices, picture and sound processing storage devices and lineprinter. So, computers still will cost $2000.00 before we can be satisfied.
