Hardware form factors, success and failures ?

Over the many years of evolvement of computer form factors, miniaturization has been interesting. From the smallest to the largest:

Cellphone is successful.
Tablet is not successful.
Game console is not successful.
Keyboard is not successful.
Monitor is not successful.
Short tower is successful.
Tall tower is successful.
Relay rack is successful.
Stackable is not successful.
Blade is successful.

It is interesting to note that the human perception of size is how inclusive can these form factors serve for the future. Most successful form factors has a definite size that can be expandable, and house more functional devises.

Game console could have been successful; if DVD can be in the housing.

Everex gOs is successful when it is large enough to house DVD and more.

So, we will go back and have the Chinese install 3/partialy exposed 5.25" DVDRW(external firmware) in the game console, bare minimum computers with Mips cpu and see if it will get better public acceptance with Nand mlc flash card storage device? DVDRW is important for private library in home theater no matter how small a house you have?
