WiFi in Puppy, Potentially Good: With a Better Wireless Stack. I'm not a Linux developer, so I can only assume that distros like Ubuntu Gutsy, which are known for running a new wireless stack are a curve ahead just like a lot of other distros in testing. But I was shocked and disappointed to discover that WPA remains but a pipe dream in the latest release. In Ubuntu Gutsy, despite network-manager challenges, I was able to get WPA2 working using Wicd on both RT61 and RT2500 wireless cards.

On the plus side, the new UI for driver installation and wireless is fantastic.
