Luck ? Not on DistroWatch ? Lost webpages ?

Often, websites got attacked, hacked and lost info or gained nonsense, but looking at DistroWatch recently and using Yahoo search engine found many problems, especially any info on Austrumi, an ongoing distro with recent new releases v1.6.1/2. Some webpages Yahoo supposedly cached were not found either. Yahoo uses BSD operating system. Memory offset problem displayed the wrong webpage.

It seems that DistroWatch maybe did not do fsck or their operating system had problems losing files(FAT capacity limits, files written over other files?).

For a prominent website with advertizing income, failsafe computer with raid is absolute necessity.

Then you have to maintain it properly by fsck(cron jobs) or scandisk to trace lost modules on the FAT table. Backup(full hdd image) will cost money and time; but as the saying goes; its business.

Footnote:
Tuxmachines used to have Drupal problem of Apache memory capacity limiting Mysql database file display. Since then, no more syncronization problems again.
