Run iexplore.exe under wine

I hate having to use Microsoft Tools. At work, however, we have a web page that we have to update each week--and, it only works with Internet Explorer.

Since I'm now running my work workstation full-time under Linux instead of Windows XP, I've need to get MS iexplore.exe running under wine. It was simple--here's how I did it.

Like many things, the answer is on the Internet at:

Since I use PCLinuxOS, I chose the Mandriva install directions, and followed them.

The result--I know have iexplore 6.0 running under Wine linux, so I can run it onece a week for a few minutes.

Only glitch I see is that favorites don't seem to save, but this is a small matter.

To use wine to save data to hdd or usb flash cards ?

It seems to me that ie4linux for wine(missing bindings); may have missed directory/file for favorites to save the data, or that windows C: hdd names are not symlinked to linux hdax partitions?

Some thing that ie4linux in Brazil can easily fix?

No reports from Crossover IE6.0, bugs in Xandros?

Footnote:
Ie4linux copies all the ie6.0 files from Windows cab, add registry for the copied files, Wine(watch out for missing bindings in Linux operating system on your hardware) it. Then add Flash 9.0 inf(adobe) on top of wined binary file.
