GoblinX 2.6 "Micro": still a few gaffes
Less than two weeks ago, I was opinionated on GoblinX 2.6 RC1: when beauty is kinky. The final version of the "full" GoblinX 2.6 has yet to come, but Flavio has released GoblinX 2.6 "Micro" four days ago.
Indeed, a few critiques were addressed, and some fixes and improvements can be seen here and there throughout the final 2.6 "Micro" (Fluxbox-only), but I still had a few issues.
First of all, I believe that the boot options might be confusing for some users, as they're definitely too many.
The first wonder is: why the need for option (3), or when is it that PCMCIA cards are not started?! I have tested GoblinX on the old laptop whose NIC is inserted in the PCMCIA slot, and it worked no matter what menu option I was choosing!
Then, the old firewall issue is a mystery that is partially solved.
