Cellphone computer design features ? Major upgrade ?

In the end, everyone recognizes that smallest computer can be best designed in cellphone form factor. The shear small size of cellphones can be manufactured cheapest, by using layers of thin material stacked. The wire length will be the shortest for data transfer speed. The data transmission has to be edgeQAM for multiple channels. And data compression has to be 1x8 pixels to compress ascii codes.

Having said that, the hardware can be using the latest lithography for finest linewidth. The cpu and largest L2 cache at the same clock speed can be impressive. USB bus only, will simply design for data storage. Keyboard can be a mere mouse roller and clicker?

Software development of Prex(http: connection) is still very much usable with pixel transmission of multimedia. The LCD resolution can be also very desirable if linewidth is improved. Cellphones already have camera and audio output. It just needs large data storage device thru USB ports. Printing of data can be done using drugstores or offices; just like online on-demand websites for applications.

It may take a few years for telcos to wake up with the advanced design; already in pieces that had to be just consolidated.

IPhone vs ultimate design ? X86 vs mainframe design ?

Cellphones are architecture sensitive to use cdma, or wcdma(gsm) transmission. Which can both be accommodated by edgeQAM channels by software selection.

The minute you mention software changes on PWM/risc, you know iPhone, built on X86 architecture will be obsoleted by mainframe type of computer design; where you only need cpu and large cache, plus all the utility components to get on the microwave towers.

The concept is best for adaptability of software driver architecture for functionality. X86 is too rigid in hardware design, and it cost more when you need many masks for integrated circuits. A cpu with large memory is much cheaper and faster on the same data bus. X86 FSB is too slow with double data scheme for memory storage. Simple USB multibus(replacing SCSI) will be much faster.

So, we should see some interesting adaptation of cellphones with software modes and auto-updated functionality soon?
