My Beginning Distro Project
I've decided to have a little fun with creating my own "distro" of Linux. For this, I'm using the program, Reconstructor. What it does is it has the information of a basic and generic version of Linux, based on Ubuntu. It gives you choices of packages you wish to include in the distribution and other elements. Very neat. I will be posting more as I go along, but for now, here is some info:
I plan to call this distro "SmoothRhino" because of the fact that it will feature all the essentials, but not much more. This includes Pidgin, Rhythmbox, Lifera Feed Reader, Firefox, Kazehakase, Calculator, Dictionary, Abiword, the GIMP, Tomboy Notes, and a simple text editor. Also, I wish to apply a theme to the distro that is sophisticated and sleek. Here is the planned theme, just modified from the Glossy in Ubuntu 7.10

Stay tuned.
