Intel Folsom Employees Aid Hurricane Concert

More than 600 volunteers from Intel Folsom are manning phone lines tonight in conjunction with a massive Hurricane Katrina telethon event broadcast on all the major television networks.

Rather than taking tech support calls at the Folsom Intel call center tonight, workers are donating their time collecting pledges as part of the nationwide broadcast of "Shelter From the Storm: A Concert for the Gulf Coast."

Money raised will go to the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army.
