Open Season #16

In Russia, they say the only way to untold software riches is to partner with Microsoft. Or at least that's what Microsoft's Russian operatives are telling people these days.

Open Season intrepid correspondent Matt Asay just returned from the land of Mayakovsky and Emma Goldman - a beer spills in Silicon Valley for these giants - where he found a Microsoft big-whig spreading some ill will toward open source software. No big shocker to be sure. But apparently this guy is an especially ardent Microsoft zealot after a few doses of vodka.

We bemoan this Russian and a number of other things during Episode 16 of Open Season, as your reporter and Matt teamed up with Mulesource CEO (The Chief Ass, surely? - Ed) Dave Rosenberg.

The program covered the recent spate of open source fury exemplified by Hans "File System of Fury" Reiser and FreeBSD whiz Kip "I'll saw your floor" Macy. In addition, we hit on the release of the Hardy Heron version of Ubuntu, Google Application Premier and Zimbra.
