File System and Boot Loader Corruption in Dual Boot Linux System
Dual boot is the process of running more than one operating system on a single computer system and the system on which dual boot has been applied is called dual boot system. Dual boot system can have two or more different operating system on different hard drive partitions. For each operating system, the partition on which it is stored is primary partition.
This is a very helpful and easy method for the users who want to run more than one operating system on the same PC or they want to use some kind of application that specially run on a particular operating system.
But there are some situations where if any problem to the one operating system occurs, other operating system will also get affected. This problem generally occurs with a system on which you are running Windows and Linux operating system. When you perform a reinstall of the Windows operating system, you may find that Linux operating system won´t work.
In this process, the general problem occurs that the file system and boot loader of the Linux operating system get corrupted and it can´t boot up. In these situations you need to format the particular partition and reinstall the operating system.
