KDE Project Ships First Beta of Next Major Release
September 21, 2005 (The Internet) - The KDE Project is pleased to announce the immediate availability of KDE 3.5 Beta 1, dubbed "Kanzler".

KDE 3.5 Beta 1 can be downloaded over the Internet by visiting download.kde.org. Source code and vendor supplied binary packages are available. For additional information on package availability and to read further release notes, please visit the KDE 3.5 Beta 1 information page.
Please note: Qt 3.3.5 is unsupported by this release

Samsung, Red Hat to Work on Linux Drivers for Future TechThe metaverse is expected to uproot system design as we know it, and Samsung is one of many hardware vendors re-imagining data center infrastructure in preparation for a parallel 3D world. Samsung is working on new memory technologies that provide faster bandwidth inside hardware for data to travel between CPUs, storage and other computing resources. The company also announced it was partnering with Red Hat to ensure these technologies have Linux compatibility. |
