Ubuntu latest release, I must admit is a total kickass operating system. You got almost everything figure out for you. Pop in the cd answer some simple question and there you have it. Almost to perfection operating system with the cost of nothing.

But not everything runs as you planned, I love bitcomet as my torrent client, but bitcomet was not ported to any linux distro yet. I jump into the ubuntu chat channel, asking around the best application for my torrent need. Most of them recommended Azureus, but in case if you dont know, Azureus is a cpu hogging application and really can slow down your computer dramaticly. Dont blame the application, blame on the platform it was use to develop Azureus. Yes its java and that’s no secret. Kind of tricky and full of dilemma but I choose not to change anything when I found out that Transmission works great when it comes to torrent download (Trust me!).

My next step is of course not just me but also for everybody who loves mp3 in this world. Finding application to replace winamp in ubuntu is not that hard at all.
