Websites are easy to build. website can be pretty. website can be easy to use. And cloud computing is coming.
But you can not get users to come to your website.
In recent years, everybody used search engines(200 strong) to help popularity. and technology words are now common. Keyword density? keyword misspelling? Keyword groups? keyword snapshot?
It is every webpage and its traffic. Google PR or page rank is a good measure 0-10. 10 being the most traffic to put your webpage at the top 10 of any search answer page. Then you need emotion in the title to get user to click on your page.
Sounded simple, except keyword density for top listing is about 4%(one keyword in every 25 words). The top of the list is about4%, not exactly. 3.77% may be the top choice of any list of searched answers, because the page had more words in total.
Then you need to understand tie breakers which requires link trading. Or reciprocal linking with other websites of more popularity. Tux can trade with DistroWatch or Linuxquestions? But reciprical or click for money ads(links to #1google or #1Yahoo) on every page is more profitable?
There are tools that can take a snap shot of your keyword density for every webpage to put you on the top of the search(Linux as keyword in titles).

For every subject matter, you can use keyword groups. Never repeated words by themselves. Search engines will leave those pages out of their list of answers. So are ron-ons.
So, it takes skills to use keyword groups of words to add density of keyword and associated group of keywords to stack the deck. Longer text will make the density a complex percentage of keyword density and you win the top choice for more thorough reading material of that subject matter.
Of course, when you cheat by using a tool, then search engines will change their fuzzy logic formula. And when you discover you lost your place, you have to change your analytic tools?

It is just as important to use more capital letters in titles, to add more blue color for emotional click on your title.
Eyecandy is everything in search engine to control eyeball appeal. So if your title is rhymed, so be it. Cute sayings help too if it uses more keyword repetition.

When you use hosting service providers, you must be careful that webmasters are doing everything for submitting your webpages to all 200 strong search engines. Often, your webpage is not listed in the first ten listings of any search. Or worse, they click on your page and went to the wrong webpage due to indexing and to misleading recent articles on that server.
Recent check on Tuxmachines articles, found many not on search engines. Nothing on recent comments, unless your search is on the subjects posted on home page. Indexed servers must be submitted, or index page can not be covered by ads?
This is the reason for Tuxmachines lagging popularity by not being able to have more clicks from search engines.
This summer visitors dropped. Just lately, the numbers return to previous highs.
So, what should we do? Ask webmaster to make sure all servers are submitted to all search engines that are free? If hosting service tries to dodge high traffic denial of service; its time to change to another hosting service?
