Desktop Ownage 2005
SUSE Linux is one of the most popular Linux distributions in the world, and with their latest release they've proven that they're here to stay. Sure, you can download the OSS version for free, but wouldn't you like to have your own boxed copy complete with 32 and 64bit versions of the OS as well as complete documentation? I thought you might. Well, here's how....
Your mission is to take Vic here and create a work of art in the form of desktop wallpaper. He's big enough to allow you to scale him to fit your masterpiece. The trick is that you MUST do something that is funny or otherwise entertaining. I'm not going to give you any ideas here... because this whole thing is about creativity, but be as crazy as you want to be. We're pretty open around here so have fun with it. Have you seen the Photoshop contests on Fark? Think of that while working. That should give you an idea of what kind of freedom you have here! Bring out the spirit of Mad Penguin (yeah, it shocked me the first time I realized it too... we do have our own spirit) or just plain have fun with it! Just make us laugh!
The bottom line is this: If you can't make us smile within 3 seconds, you've just wasted our time and your submission will tossed in the trash. Period.
First place prize is a boxed copy of SUSE Linux 10.0 and a Mad Penguin™ T-Shirt
Second place prize is a boxed copy of Xandros Desktop OS Deluxe
Third place prize is a boxed copy of Xandros Desktop OS Business Edition
