We are not all made from the same mold. Everyone is an individual and as such we all use computers in different ways.

Some of us like to hack and slash around in our computers. Like a Freddy Kruger in the kingdom of geekdom. Some of us like to have our computer stable and steady as a rock. Others of us like something in between.

To cover all of those bases there is a plethora of Linux distributions ready for the picking. Some live on the bleeding edge, ready for those of us who like to have the latest, not necessarily the greatest, of everything. Some are a mixture of tried and true and hot off of the press programs. While some are what could be called staid and stubborn.

The first class of Linux distributions which live on the bleeding edge are generally those which are updated frequently.
