Dumping Windows for Ubuntu
I have decided after much deliberation that I am no longer going to withstand Microsoft Window’s buggy software.
I recently listened to a podcast by Get-It-Done Guy on iTunes titled “Nuking Your Slow Computer”. It’s all about switching to different operating systems other than Windows due to how much time you can waste on a Windows machine. This got me interested. I have experimented with Linux a few times before (stressfully and painfully), but never really stayed on the system as I always found a fault with it. The most recent of these was the fact that I couldn’t use my Smart Phone as a modem. That’s how I connect to the internet at the moment, and it’s obviously an important factor that my operating system supports this!
Ubuntu seems to be an increasingly popular distribution of Linux, and I’ve also seen that Dell have started to ship PC’s with Ubuntu already installed. I also found that Ubuntu operates so much faster on my laptop then Windows XP does.
