Samsung, Red Hat to Work on Linux Drivers for Future TechThe metaverse is expected to uproot system design as we know it, and Samsung is one of many hardware vendors re-imagining data center infrastructure in preparation for a parallel 3D world. Samsung is working on new memory technologies that provide faster bandwidth inside hardware for data to travel between CPUs, storage and other computing resources. The company also announced it was partnering with Red Hat to ensure these technologies have Linux compatibility. |

re: votes/reads
Um, the new drupal version counts reads on the polls differently I noticed. Used to reads could outnumber votes by double, and certainly never less. I know what you're saying, they should be at least equal. I don't exactly know how drupal's counting (or not counting) poll reads now, but it probably has to do with the 'keeping up with IP bit' and votes coming in from the sidebar.
So that's not an indication of cheating since it's happened on all polls since the upgrade - some of which could hardly get any attention let alone be the subject of cheating.
A problem I noticed...
... with the last poll was that it made me uncertain if I had voted or not. First I voted and fine I saw the results. Some hours later I went back just to check if here were any some new headlines just to see that the poll was blank like I hadn't voted. So I voted again, just to realize some hours later that the same thing repeated itself. Hence I'm probably an unintentional cheater.
Stop cheating
Cheater cheater! Just kidding. I don't think one vote gonna make a difference.
This is my poll "fingerprint"
I voted once and I will say I did vote for debian.
Mandy here
I voted for Mandriva. I'm a huge fan of PCLinuxOS, but it doesn't like my current machine. I've been running Mandy for a few months (I keep going back to Mandy) and 2010 simply rocks.
No cheating
Look folks, I know you want your favorite distribution to show well, we all do, but do you really want it pull ahead when you know the ballet box has been stuffed? Is it really a win if you've cheated?
I will be keeping an eye on the logs and any signs of cheating will render the poll tainted and it cause it to be pulled again.
Let your distro pull ahead by its own merits.
