Sansa Fuze, Works great with Ubuntu and Rythmbox
I purchased a Sansa Fuze 4gb music and video player for my wife this Christmas and thought I would comment on how it got along with Ubuntu 9.10.
would comment on how it got along with Ubuntu 9.10. All in all it was a breeze to use in this particular version of Linux. When it is connected via the usb port it can be set to auto start the Rythmbox application and is immediately listed in the left hand column and all it’s music is listed in the right column ready to be managed as needed. I found adding about 850 megabytes of music files (mixed .mp3 and .wma) to it took but a few minutes on my 2ghz system. It supports album art if your files are tagged correctly as well as some .jpg files I loaded onto it as a test. The device supports video playback and I would highly recommend any Ubuntu users to download an app called video4fuze.
