Downtime - connectivity issues
I guess you might have noticed we were offline today and the connection is still very spotty right now (will connect, but drops after a few seconds). There's a lineman supposed to come sometime tomorrow maybe, you know how that goes. I am sorry for the trouble and hope we'll be back up soon. Just keep trying. Don't forget about tuxmachines while we're down.

Samsung is working on new memory technologies that provide faster bandwidth inside hardware for data to travel between CPUs, storage and other computing resources. The company also announced it was partnering with Red Hat to ensure these technologies have Linux compatibility. |

Damn, I need my dose of Linux drug few times a day I hope you will solve the problem quickly...
Welcome Back
Glad to see Tuxmachines back up and fighting the good fight. Hope connection issues sorted real soon.
Good luck and keep up the great work.
Forget Tuxmachines?
Impossible! It's the first one listed in my drop down address bar.
thanks!
Thanks everyone for the nice words. (Risking jinxing it) It looks like we are indeed back up. The cable guy said there was a bad outgoing transformer on the pole.
You really don't realize how long 24 hours can be until the internet goes down.
But thank goodness it was outgoing - I really would have gone nuts if the tv had been out too!!!
Re: thanks!
I too am glad you're back up. I had completed a blog post to Tuxmachines, and had to go back in later and resubmit it, as the first try ended up somewhere in etherspace.
Forget?
Maybe after a year of trying to connect. Seriously, besides LXer, this site is my MAIN FOSS new site. Thanks for all you do, Susan.
