Five Improvements for KDE 4.5 (Part 2)

Welcome to part 2! Last time I talked about all the cool features I wished for in KDE that have already became reality. This time I’m going to detail the things I hope to see in future KDE releases.

1.) Way to Alphabetize Kickoff Application List

Whenever I install a new application, an icon is added in “Applications” on the Kickoff menu in the appropriate category, but it’s added to the top of the list for me. For example, if I installed Firefox, the icon for it would be listed above “Akregator” or whatever the first icon is. To fix it, I have to manually edit the menu and move the new icon where it’s supposed to go. Unfortunately, there is no option to alphabetize the applications menu, and I think that there should be.

2.) Get Rid of the Toolbox (“Cashew”) Icon
