The Slough of Unsatisfied Ubuntu Users

re: Slough

Slough?

A depression or hollow, usually filled with deep mud or mire.

A state of deep despair or moral degradation.

The dead outer skin shed by a reptile or amphibian.

A layer or mass of dead tissue separated from surrounding living tissue, as in a wound, sore, or inflammation.

re: Slough

If you were in the UK you'd know about a 'delightful and picturesque' town that goes by the name of Slough.

Over 70 years ago, the famous poet John Betjeman wrote:

Come, friendly bombs, and fall on Slough
It isn't fit for humans now
There isn't grass to graze a cow.
Swarm over, death!

More recently, Slough was the setting for the TV series 'The Office'.

As you said in your comment: a "state of deep despair or moral degradation".

surprise surprise

Another Ubuntu release, more petty infighting and thoroughly useless mudslinging from some Debian nerd. I guess it's easier to knock down others than examine your own shortcomings.
