Parted Magic 5.0 released
Just one week after the first release candidate arrived, the Parted Magic developers have released version 5.0 of their open source, multi-platform partitioning tool. Parted Magic can be used to create, move, delete and resize drive partitions and will run on a machine with as little as 64MB of RAM. File systems supported include NTFS, FAT, ReiserFS, Reiser4 and HFS+. LVM and RAID are also supported.
The major update is based on the 2.6.34.1 Linux kernel and features new programs and several updated packages. Package updates include version 0.96.1 of the ClamAV virus scanner, version 4.01 of the Syslinux boot loader collection and the latest 0.6.1 release of the GNOME Partition Editor (GParted). With GParted users can easily create, organise and delete disk partitions using a graphical user interface (GUI).
