James Franco to make movie of Nina Reiser murder
James Franco has purchased the rights to the memoir The Adderall Diaries: A Memoir of Moods, Masochism, and Murder by Stephen Elliott with the intention of adapting, directing, producing and starring, according to Variety. The Spider-Man star recently directed the Saturday Night Live documentary Saturday Night, which played at this year's Tribeca Film Festival and is currently gathering buzz for his performance in Danny Boyle's 127 Hours. Released in 2009, the book chronicles Elliott's experience as he covers the 2007 murder trial of computer programmer Hans Reiser and realizes that he and Reiser exist in the same BDSM social circle.
