83rd Annual Academy Awards Winners
Well, I've kinda lost a lot of interest in the movie world this past year. I still watch movies occasionally, but couldn't get too excited about the Academy Awards. Nevertheless, since it's a tradition around here to cover some of the winners, here are the big categories.
Best Supporting Actress: Melissa Leo, The Fighter
Best Supporting Actor: Christian Bale, The Fighter
Best Actress: Natalie Portman, Black Swan
Best Actor: Colin Firth, The King's Speech
Best Animated Movie: Toy Story 3
Best Director: Tom Hooper, The King's Speech
Best Script: David Seidler, The King's Speech
Best Picture of the Year: The King's Speech (for a total of 4 wins)
I saw Black Swan which I thought was eerily haunting and thought provoking. I didn't see a lot of good reviews of it, but I liked it. I didn't see The Fighter. But I did see The King's Speech. I thought it was moving and inspiring. I liked it a lot. I saw Toy Story 3, which was almost as cute as 1 and 2.
