World's largest single-school XO laptop solar power deployment

We successfully carried out our first solar photovoltaic school deployment in Haiti, last week! The EFACAP school in Lascahobas, Haiti now has 2.4KW of solar pv capability to charge 500 laptops with a DC only designed and wired system. According to our research and to OLPC, our installation has the distinction of being the world's largest single-school solar laptop charging deployment!

Working with Fabrice Urrizalqui, a French school teacher from San Francisco, a team also set up a brand-new library at the school, full of books in French and Creole, and created an inventory and catalog, and a system for checking out the books.

With the help of a team of local survey-givers, Dr, Laura Hosman from IIT carried out a baseline survey with 150 respondents.

These "nodes" can be bidirectionally connected with each other to semantically represent friendship, blood relation, whereabouts, authorship, and so on. Hence the term "semantic graph database," since information can be displayed as a graph of semantically connected nodes. Read more

LabxNow has become in the cloud what Distroshare intended to become for your local hardware. In a recent communication, the team updated us of their new features to create custom projects (or generate from templates). There are 150K (you read it right) images to choose from when you are setting up a customer project environment.
