SimplyMEPIS 12 Alpha 2 Shows Direction

Linux

SimplyMEPIS 12 Alpha 2 was released earlier today with Warren's usual brief statement that basically says, I've released it. Although more clues as to the new goodies did appear in discussions. This sounds like one to boot.

This release features Linux 3.5 which is said will allow users to use GRUB 2 and chain load SimplyMEPIS from their Windows installs. The boot screen sports the same new image that graces the login screen and desktop.
