Slackware 14.0 is Finally Here
Slackware 14.0 is has been released. A post on slackware.com said, "the long wait is finally over and a new stable release of Slackware has arrived!" The official announcement said, "We are sure you'll enjoy the many improvements."
Slackware 14.0 features a vanilla Linux 3.2.29, GCC 4.7.1, and Xorg X Server 1.12.3. User can choose from two desktops: Xfce 4.10 and KDE 4.8.5. Besides all the KDE apps, you'll get Firefox and Thunderbird 15.0.1, Pidgin 2.10, and GIMP 2.8.2, among others. There are more in the /extra directory.
