Samsung, Red Hat to Work on Linux Drivers for Future TechThe metaverse is expected to uproot system design as we know it, and Samsung is one of many hardware vendors re-imagining data center infrastructure in preparation for a parallel 3D world. Samsung is working on new memory technologies that provide faster bandwidth inside hardware for data to travel between CPUs, storage and other computing resources. The company also announced it was partnering with Red Hat to ensure these technologies have Linux compatibility. |

I think a tablet would be a cool gadget, especially for the living room (or for on-the-go if I went anywhere), but I'd hate to have to do any real work on one. I hope we old-fashioned types can still continue to get desktop hardware and Linux distributions for a while yet.
Desktop all the way
I'd truly go insane if I had to do most of my computing confined to a laptop.
