The inventor of the web, Sir Tim Berners-Lee, will be the fourth keynote speaker at the 14th annual Australian national Linux conference, the organisers announced today.
The conference is scheduled to be held at the Australian National University in Canberra from January 28 to February 2 next year.
Sir Tim, who invented the web in the late 1980s, is now the director of the World Wide Web (W3) Consortium which looks after development of the medium around the world.
He is attending the Linux conference as part of a visit to Australia which is supported by a number of sponsors.
