Features Approved This Week For Fedora 20
There's been some Fedora 20 feature proposals to date, including a controversial change, while on Thursday a list of newly-proposed features was published.
The Fedora Engineering & Steering Committee announced the proposed features for F20 that were accepted this week, via the mailing list:
- Boost 1.54 packages for Fedora 20.
- ARM will finally become a primary architecture for Fedora 20. There's been Fedora ARM images released for a few cycles now, but they haven't been on the same tier as x86/x86_64. With Fedora 20, ARM is now being taken more seriously, but there's still some items to be determined.
- Hadoop will be available on Fedora 20.
