openSUSE 13.1 has been released so it’s time for a review. I’ve always liked openSUSE, I started out with SUSE Linux years ago and it’s always had a special place in my heart. I’m glad it’s still around and doing so well these days. Whenever I install it, I’m reminded of where I got my start with Linux and I’m grateful that it was available back then.

Linux 4.3 Is Working On Sound Support For Skylake, Other New Audio Hardware

Linux audio driver developers are still working on Skylake-related support, but all of that initial code is now present for Linux 4.3 in conjunction with the latest Intel processors. Besides Skylake, the Linux 4.3 sound updates also have a new STI controller driver and new Cirrus CS4349, GTM601, InvenSense ICS43432, and Realtek RT298 drivers.
