Samsung brings accessory restriction on Note 3, inspired by Apple?
Android brought openness to the smartphone ecosystem, with an open source operating system, embracing common connectivity standards and lot of customisability options in terms of hardware and software. Apple was on the other hand seen as having very tightly controlled ecosystem and many users moved to Android to experience some freedom. However, Samsung’s recent move to block third party accessory might alienate customers from associating the android device manufacturer from this notion.

Samsung, Red Hat to Work on Linux Drivers for Future TechThe metaverse is expected to uproot system design as we know it, and Samsung is one of many hardware vendors re-imagining data center infrastructure in preparation for a parallel 3D world. Samsung is working on new memory technologies that provide faster bandwidth inside hardware for data to travel between CPUs, storage and other computing resources. The company also announced it was partnering with Red Hat to ensure these technologies have Linux compatibility. |
