Puppy Linux founder comments on the OLPC project

Puppy Linux still wants to be the Linux operating system that powers the laptop computers in the One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) project, distro originator Barry Kauler says in an article published May 13 on the Puppy OS website.
The OLPC project, headed up by former MIT Media Lab head Nicholas Negroponte, signed Red Hat as a major sponsor early in the process. Because of that commitment, most observers believe that some form of Red Hat Linux will power the laptops -- most likely Fedora Core, Red Hat's community distribution. However, no official word has emerged from the OLPC project regarding which Linux OS will, in fact, be used.
Taiwan's Quanta Computer has been selected to build the hardware for the OLPC laptop.
Cellphones have richer financiers for palm computers ?
People are still stuck with pride for large lcd monitors for computers?
When you are developing digital cameras, the lcd size acceptance has long been established(2 inch, 1.1 inch is too small). And Linux has been training people to have eyes for 1024x768 resolution(now 1920x1280) with small fonts. Small frames can pack a lot of data. Pictures and charts are more important than ascii characters. Thumb nail pictures represent old languages. Chinese will work well with small LCD monitors. Each Chinese charactor combination is a phrase(motto) instead of a word or several word in one picture(charactor).
Will MIT ever get their cheap laptop design working? I doubt it. But Verizon will get their cellphone to function as console for offline or online servers. Many technology are now in place for fully functional palm computer with camera and telephony in a cellphone. Laptop becomes too pricy with add-ons.
Will a swivelled horizontal screen on center in cellphone be more to your liking, perhaps(HDTV format)? Digital camera LCD pixels are much smaller than large LCD computer monitor screens.
