Akregator is a RSS feed aggregator for K Desktop Environment. Feed aggregators provide a convenient way to browse different kinds of content, including news, blogs and other content from online sites. Instead of checking all of you favorite web sites manually for updates, Akregator collects the content for you.

Akregator is an open source news aggregator which supports both RSS and Atom feeds, that can be sorted into categories. Akregator can be configured to fetch all feeds within regular intervals but also, the user can choose the update intervals for every feed, for individual feeds or for those in a selected category. Articles can be opened in tabs within Akregator or an external browser as Konqueror or Firefox can be used to read them.

Akregator has a basic interface, similar to any other feed reader. Feeds are listed on the left site and clicking on a feed brings up the list of posts from the feed. Akregator has three modes:

Kubuntu 14.10 review

KDE has improved in may respects since my last review of Kubuntu, so it’s fair to say that Kubuntu itself has improved. Muon Discover has improved too, so kudos to the developer. However, Kubuntu is not the best KDE-using distribution around. ROSA Desktop, for example, offers many more features than most KDE-using desktops.
