How I Screwed Up Rpmdrake 2007
It was a nice evening. I started Rpmdrake 2007 "the long way" (Applications -> System -> Configuration -> Packaging -> Install, Remove & Update Software), then I looked into what video & audio applications could I add from PLF (with all the codecs).
I selected various things like VLC, gxine, codecs and plugins (with "plf" in the filename), then I accepted to start the installation.
At some point, a repository failed. I changed to another PLF mirror. Updates, stuff, etc.
In the meantime, I wanted to check if the meaning of the several green and blue icons in Rpmdrake 2007 are documented, so I clicked the "Help" button. The help window showed up as a blank, frozen window. Geez. I didn't like it.

"No more need to choose PCLinuxOS for its Synaptic! Unexpectedly well designed, RPMDrake v3 will allow you to install and remove packages from the same place!"
RE: rpmdrake
Yes, Texstar, but PCLOS 0.94 is delayed for such a long time...
(Side note: someone is building GNOME 2.16 for OpenBSD, which currently only has 2.10 -- the same as... PCLOS! What is to be expected from PCLOS?)

Santa bringing something for pclos users...but only if you've been good this year.
On the rpmdrake topic.... rpmdrake will be fixed within the next 2 weeks as well as a few other little niggles then Mdv 2007 will be rock solid.
