Dusting Off the Hat – Revisiting Fedora
The last time I reviewed Fedora (Core 5, here) I was left a bit annoyed overall. Frustrated, as idealism had gotten the best of what I was hoping to be a solid distribution. This time around I'm hoping Fedora will be on the right path.
Just like last release, the installation was a snap.
Anaconda looks and feels even spiffier then the last time I remember using it. It has truly come along way since I first laid my eyes on it (back with RedHat Linux 7.x and 8.x). To be quite honest, it caught me off guard this time around – No longer does Anaconda come off as just a wizard driven installer. It actually felt like a solid graphical installation utility, fully polished. Nice.
Just when I thought I'd be completely pleased with how the installation was going... the first 'WTF' arose.
