9 reasons Linux and mainstream users are not ready for each other
Linux brings enormous benefits to power users. However, some limitations and difficulties prevent it from becoming massively popular with home users. Here are 9 reasons why Linux and mainstream users are not ready for each other.
1. Operating Systems
Many home users aren’t aware that alternative operating systems exist. Some directly tie PC hardware to Windows and Apple hardware to Mac OS. Even different versions of Windows may seem foreign to new computer users of the past 5 years who have only used Windows XP. The idea of Linux as an alternative operating system can be certainly be confusing to these people.
2. Too many choices
Between battling distributions, windowing systems, and package managers, there are simply too many choices when preparing to make the switch. How do you know if Ubuntu or Fedora is right for you? Will you think KDE or Gnome looks better? What about yum, apt, or rpm files? Making so many immediate decisions can be quite daunting, and making the wrong ones can be discouraging.

Personally, its 9 reasons why I don't care of other people's opinion!
I use Linux, and it works for me...And that's all I care about. Anything else is just wasting time...
